Brittany Bramell Punaro and Lauren Claffey Tomlinson are proud to announce the launch of Steer PR, a full-service, boutique strategic communications and critical issue advisory firm based in Washington, DC. As the Central Intelligence Agency’s former Director of Public Affairs, spokesperson for Uber technologies, and strategic communications advisor on Capitol Hill, Brittany brings considerable experience in the national security space and is adept at navigating complex communications issues.

As the former Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security, communications director on Capitol Hill, and Southern Company’s head of corporate communications, Lauren is a proven strategic communicator with experience across government and industry.

Together, Lauren and Brittany bring decades of communications experience, leading teams through notoriously complex national security, foreign policy, and crisis communications issues. They look forward to bringing that expertise to bear in pursuit of their clients strategic objectives.
